2017 International Youth Convention

“So, now, I met, heard someone last night. I never knew Brother Carl Williams’ son. I was, today, just bragging on that certain young man that got up and was talking about the—the young people’s rally. And I told my daughter. I said, “Now, you want to make it your business to get in there.”

She said, “I don’t know nobody in there.”

I said, “You’ll know somebody, or everybody will know you. Just go on in, anyhow.”

And I’m praying that she receives the baptism of the Holy Ghost during this rally up there.”

Theme: Anointing the Church of Tomorrow With The Original POWER

Updates

Day One

We thank God for journey mercies that he has granted us, we have traveled well and everyone is safe and sound. Upon arrival the youths had lunch and later participated in different activities which they said they enjoyed very much. After the activities we had supper.

The evening service started well and we could feel the presence of God as we were singing the songs of Zion, we could recognize the freedom and joy within the church of tomorrow as the sweet anointing was moving. Pastor Chesa took the service and he preached a sermon titled Tremendous Commission. The encouragement was to run with the button stick until we reach the mark of the high calling…

Day Two

Once more its another good day that the Lord has given us and we are glad and rejoicing in it. The relay has started! Pastor HB Chesa passed the stick to Bro David (Lusaka, Zambia) who gave an exaltation to the youths to run with message of the hour and to shun  being a Jonah in this day.

For the morning service, our beloved pastor Godwin Chitsinde took the service with the sermon entitled ‘Multitudes in the valley of decision’. The main theme of the Youth convention is being brought forward from different perspectives taking it from the prophet to build  individuals to stand in the statue of a perfect man till they become a power house that will use the word of God to defeat the devil at any time, place and in any circumstance.

After having lunch there was quiet time and many of the youth say they had a good time meditating on the word of God. Thereafter the youths were divided into groups of ten heads and participated in an interesting quiz which ended with a prize being given to the winners.

After supper we came back for the evening session in which Bro Isaac Ngweru from Kenya  admonished the youths on harnessing social media to our advantage for the furtherance of the Word of God in a sermon entitled ‘Lifetime Cycle’.

Thereafter we had a time of praising and worshiping the Lord and we really enjoyed it. According to many youths they say the ‘Singspiration’ was too short and they wanted it to continue till late…

Day Three

As the new day begins; the Parson passes the button stick to a young man, brother Benjamin from Kitwe  Zambia. He shared on the Qualities of Servant Hood.

As though it was not enough the button stick was handed to Brother Isaac Mahlangu (South Africa) who preached on the sermon titled “THAT DAY ON CALVARY”, taking inspiration from the message preached by the Prophet. This led to a time of deep personal introspection on whether their lives are worthy of the gospel. We felt the presence of the Almighty in the building and it was a glorious time.

After a good lunch we engaged in a tape game which we all enjoyed. Thereafter we had wonderful time in the presence of the Lord as we were listening to a tape called THIRSTING FOR LIFE. The church of tomorrow can truly testify that the Lord visited us in a mighty way and we could feel His august presence among us. Many are walking away with great testimonies of how the Lord has granted their heart desires.

Dinner was superb and we came in for the last segment on testimonies of what the Lord had done for the participants, proving that the experience we had in the afternoon was nothing but a genuine heavenly visitation. Brother Jose Domingos from Angola took the last service and preached on the importance of having the revelation of the Name of the God that you worship because the word “god” means an object of worship. The life that you lead proves if you know the God that you worship. Do you know the name of the God that you worship?

The  Crucifixion Play  marked the end of the convention and it was also the  climax of the convention. The messages which were preached during the course of the camp were perfectly in line with theme of the play thus it showed us that God was among us and had done something for those that accepted him.

Want to thank God for making this convention a success. We thank God for the great victory.

We say until we meet next time and never goodbye.

God Bless You
